Buried high-voltage power cable casing will implement new standards

It is reported that the national industry standard for the “chlorinated polyvinyl chloride casing for buried high-voltage power cables” revised by Hunan Power Road Lutong Plastic Industry Co., Ltd. was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission, starting from January 1, 2006. Formally implemented.
At present, the international advanced method for high-voltage cable entry into the ground is that the cable is worn in a high-strength, long-life, high-heat, corrosion-resistant chlorinated polyvinyl chloride casing. Compared with the cement asbestos cable trenches, cast iron pipes, steel pipes and other plastic pipes used in the past, the practical performance and comprehensive economic benefits are much improved.
However, in recent years, a similarly different PVC sleeve has been popular in the domestic market. The production process is simple and the cost is only half of the chlorinated polyvinyl chloride casing. It is understood that the biggest difference between the two is heat resistance, chlorinated PVC casing can resist heat more than 100 degrees Celsius, and PVC casing can resist half of heat. It is said that the power industry has strict requirements on the temperature resistance of plastic casings entering the cable, and the Vicat softening temperature must not be lower than 93 degrees Celsius. If it is lower than this value, it will not only affect the long-term safe and stable operation of the high-voltage cable, but also cause huge economic losses.
