According to insiders, the company may build a new battery plant in Salzgitter, Germany, investing 10 billion euros (about 11 billion US dollars) to lay the foundation for the annual sales of millions of electric cars in 2025. . But Volkswagen CFO Frank Witter said the company has not yet made a decision on the new battery plant project, but has carried out various scenarios, including plans for Gigabit factories.

Originally, Tesla Gigabit Factory is the world's largest lithium-ion battery production plant in the future, and is equivalent to the total capacity of all lithium-ion batteries in the world today, including the computer and mobile phone industries.
