Recon smart glasses, unlike Google glasses, are primarily aimed at sports such as skiing, snowboarding and parachuting. They are designed to provide more use than goggles. During last week's Google I/O conference, Recon still showed his Jet smart glasses fearlessly. In a pair of sporty sunglasses, the dual-core processor, dedicated graphics processor, GPS, high-definition camera, speaker, microphone, and wireless connectivity are integrated.

Like other Recon hardware, Jet uses a complete sensor to measure environmental and performance data. It also includes a full WiFi wireless network connection and Bluetooth 4.0, as well as ANT+ connectivity for connecting external sensors and devices.

Recon Jet is more than just a sports tracking device. It can also be used to display patient information during surgery, video streaming on the wearer's mobile phone, Web and social media. Its open software development kit also allows developers to create rich applications.

Jet looks lighter, cheaper, and more dynamic than Google Glass. Its display device is placed in the lower right, not as eye-catching as Google Glass. The display is the same as a 14-inch screen seen from a distance of 1.5 meters (5 feet). Replaceable batteries are also easier to use quickly.
