Jia Nan Zhizhi's blockchain computing chip is in the international leading position

In today's global integrated circuit industry, we are witnessing a time of significant transformation and evolution. On one side, as manufacturing processes get closer to their physical limits, major international players are intensifying their efforts in process development, aiming to maintain core control and build formidable technical barriers. On the other hand, the rapid growth of emerging fields like artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things has lowered the entry barriers for technology innovation. As a result, many innovative startups are now challenging traditional industry leaders in these new domains. Hangzhou Jianan Zhizhi Information Technology Co., Ltd. is one such company. Specializing in integrated circuit design, Jianan Zhizhi focuses on the development, design, and sales of application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) and related devices, while also offering system solutions and technical services. Their products cater to four main scenarios: smart home, autonomous driving, voice interaction, and image recognition. The company’s blockchain computing chips and peripheral equipment have been distributed across over 150 countries and regions worldwide. Jianan Zhizhi’s 28nm and 16nm chips represent state-of-the-art design and performance, achieving mass production and selling tens of thousands of units since 2016. These chips contributed more than 20% of the new computing power added to the blockchain network during that period. In an increasingly competitive market, how does Jianan Zhizhi manage to stay ahead? According to its founder, Zhang Nanzhen, it all comes down to continuous innovation. Unlike conventional approaches in integrated circuit design, Jianan Zhizhi has developed 20 innovative methods, boldly tackling challenges associated with advanced manufacturing processes. For instance, their supercomputing chip utilizes standard technology combined with original solutions, introducing the AST equivalent conversion algorithm. This innovation allows a single chip to deliver computing power comparable to 100,000 mainstream CPUs, significantly boosting processing speed. The latest generation of supercomputing chips employs advanced 16nm 3D transistor technology, overcoming atomic-level design constraints and doubling computational performance. With the rise of artificial intelligence, Jianan Zhizhi is building an ecosystem centered around “chip + AI,” using its foundational infrastructure to drive the future of AI. Smart homes serve as a key entry point, enhancing everyday life through intelligent solutions. In terms of AI layout, the company designs ASIC chips based on industrial needs, leveraging its technological advantages to set industry standards and improve terminal device computing power. It aims to create a win-win ecosystem across the supply chain. Today, Jianan Zhizhi has reached world-leading levels in parallel computing chip architecture, low-power design, and chip reliability management, all backed by independent intellectual property rights. After years of R&D efforts, its blockchain computing chips have become among the few globally leading products in this field. This year, Jianan Zhizhi partnered with the Shanghai Institute of Computing Technology and the Tsinghua Yangtze River Delta Research Institute to establish the "Yangtze River Artificial Intelligence Laboratory." The lab aims to launch the world's first 16nm AI chip in 2017, targeting applications in intelligent terminals, mobile devices, voice-to-text recognition, and behavior control. In May of this year, the company secured nearly 300 million yuan in funding from Yupu Investment, Jinjiang Group, and Yan Capital. Following this round of financing, its valuation has reached nearly 3.3 billion yuan.
