According to market research firm DisplaySearch, after shipments of mobile phone display fell into the trough in the first quarter of 2009, shipments reached 360 million in the second quarter of 2009, compared with the previous quarter. Continuous growth of 30%, an increase of 3%. Its revenue increased by 29% from the previous quarter to US$2.93 billion, but decreased by 5% year-on-year. Shipments of low-temperature polysilicon thin film transistor liquid crystal displays (LTPS TFT-LCDs) increased by 25.3% from the previous quarter and continue to maintain a market share of 21.6%. Active matrix organic light-emitting diode displays (AMOLEDs) benefit from high-end devices. For example, Samsung Anycall's shipments have increased by 54.5% from the previous quarter, with market share accounting for 1.3%.
