In addition to the USB interface and SD interface, the OPT5256 combines most of the peripherals on a single chip, such as memory, liquid crystal display control, and many I/O devices. With the reduction of many external components and the shrinking chip size, manufacturers can use this feature to design products that are lightweight and inexpensive.
