This device is designed to plug into a backup power socket and acts as a hub that connects to the two wires of GE's Smart Light Bulbs. The GE "C-Sleep" series of bulbs stands out for its ability to support various types of white light and even helps regulate melatonin levels to assist in waking up earlier. According to GE, users are advised to switch to warm lighting before bedtime and then transition to cooler light in the early morning to help maintain a natural sleep-wake cycle. These bulbs use the A19 interface and have an equivalent power of 60 watts. They can be easily configured through the GE app or manually adjusted using the new C-Reach Bridge.
In addition to the C-Sleep series, there’s also the C-Life bulb, which offers only white light effects. Unlike the C-Sleep bulbs, the color temperature cannot be adjusted, but they still provide full compatibility with apps and voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant. The C-Life bulb also delivers 60 watts of power and uses the A19 interface.
GE is also launching its newly successful Sol lamps, which feature a unique circular design reminiscent of Dyson fans. This desk lamp supports Alexa functionality and can connect directly to C-Sleep bulbs without the need for an additional hub. The C-Light series bulbs are also compatible with GE's smart lighting ecosystem.
