Baoding will establish the first batch of wind energy research center for mass production in August

It was learned from the Investment Promotion Bureau of Baoding High-tech Zone that the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Dutch Energy Research Center recently signed an agreement to jointly study the feasibility of establishing a wind energy research center in Baoding. It is understood that this will be China's first wind energy research center. In this cooperation, both China and Netherlands will first investigate the feasibility of establishing a wind energy research center in Baoding, and will issue a "feasibility report" in April next year. The Dutch side will invest 200,000 euros in this. According to the person in charge of the Investment Promotion Bureau of Baoding High-tech Zone, the center will start with wind power blades, the core technology of wind power generation, and gradually extend it to other areas.

The “China Power Valley” in Baoding is the first national-level new energy and energy equipment industry base, and it is the leading position in the research and development of wind energy and power. Prior to this, the Baoding municipal government had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Dutch Energy Research Center.

Wind power generation, as an important part of China's current renewable energy, has been included in the "Eleventh Five-Year" scientific development strategy. Wind power blades are the core technology of wind power generation and have long been monopolized by developed countries.

In the first phase of the agreement, Huayi Wing Blade Research and Development Center, China's first wind turbine blade research and development center in Baoding High-tech Zone, has invested 50 million yuan in advance to produce the first batch of 1.5-megawatt blade molds, which will be mass-produced in August. High-power blades of more than 2 trillion are also being produced and are expected to be completed by the end of next year.

It is understood that the Netherlands is one of the most advanced countries in wind power technology. This cooperation will combine the advanced technologies of the Netherlands with China’s vast wind power market and open up new avenues for solving the technological bottlenecks in the development of new energy in China.
