Small size also has high-definition micro whale projection M1 for micro-projection

Micro-projectors have gained popularity in the market due to their compact size and impressive features. However, two common issues have been frequently criticized: low brightness and poor resolution. In June of this year, the internet brand Micro-Whale launched a new micro-projection product, the F1, which successfully raised the brightness limit of micro-projectors beyond 1000 lumens. This innovation shocked the market and changed people's perception of micro-projectors, bringing excitement to many. Not content with just improving brightness, Micro-Whale continued its development and five months later introduced the M1, the industry’s smallest 1080P micro-projector. This product effectively addressed the long-standing issues of low resolution and limited brightness, marking a significant milestone for the brand. The M1 quickly became a trendsetter in the micro-projection market. The M1 is powered by Texas Instruments' DLP Pico 0.33-inch Full HD chipset, which includes the DLP3310 Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) and DLPC3437 controller. This technology delivers the highest brightness performance among 0.3-inch imaging panels using DLP MEMS technology. Micro-Whale managed to launch the M1 in volume production in October, well ahead of other brands that are expected to release similar products next year. This early entry gives the M1 a competitive edge in the market. During the Double 11 shopping festival, the M1 achieved remarkable sales success. The design of the M1 is highly praised, with both the K series and the M series receiving prestigious awards like the IF Design Award and the China Good Design Gold Award. The M1 measures 175 x 124 x 91 mm and weighs just 1.5 kg, making it easy to carry and handle. One of the standout design elements of the M1 is its octagonal geometric style, allowing for versatile placement and projection angles. For instance, it can be used to create an overhead cinema effect. The M1 also features a large area of sandblasted metal aluminum extrusion shell, giving it a sleek and seamless appearance. Its platinum light gold finish is elegant and refined, avoiding the typical "bling" look. The M1 boasts a 1080P resolution, 720 lumens of brightness, a 5000:1 contrast ratio, and a 1.2:1 projection ratio. It can project up to a 100-inch screen from 2.6 meters away and supports vertical trapezoidal correction. A high-sensitivity camera enables one-second autofocus, making it ideal for mobile use. The M1 also has a USB 3.0 port, HDMI 2.0 interface, and audio input, ensuring compatibility with various devices. Under the hood, the M1 uses an A73 architecture 64-bit multi-core processor, offering 60% better performance than the A53. It also features a Mali-450 GPU capable of decoding 4K video. With 2GB RAM and 8GB storage, the M1 is powerful yet compact. Testing revealed that the M1's 1080P resolution significantly improves image clarity compared to the F1 Plus with 1280x800 resolution. The color accuracy reaches DCI-P3 gamut, delivering a cinematic feel. The contrast ratio is excellent, especially in dark environments, where the black levels are deep and detailed. The M1 supports HDR10 and can play 4K videos smoothly, including a 53.2GB 4K HDR Blu-ray of "Smurf 2." The sound system features dual speakers with Dolby and DTS support, providing rich and clear audio without the need for external speakers. The user interface is smooth and intuitive, with voice control functionality that allows users to check the weather, set reminders, and control playback. The M1 also offers access to a vast library of content, including platforms like Tencent Video, BBC, TVB, and exclusive VR channels. Despite its small size, the M1 manages heat efficiently, with temperatures reaching 39.2°C after an hour and a half of use. The noise level is around 48 dB, slightly higher than the F1 Plus but still acceptable. Power consumption is only 45.8W, making it energy-efficient. In conclusion, the release of the M1 marks a new era for micro-projectors, addressing key issues of brightness and resolution. With its advanced technology and elegant design, the M1 sets a new standard in the micro-projection market.
