Must know: safety inspection of explosion-proof electrical installations

The safety inspection of explosion-proof electrical equipment shall be based on the current specifications, standards and construction drawings. The safety inspection is mainly for the selection, installation and construction of explosion-proof electrical equipment in explosion-hazardous places, and whether there are defects in the facilities in use. Whether the management system is complete, etc. Relevant personnel at all levels must take explosion-proof measures in the electrical engineering, installation and construction, operation and maintenance and safety technical management of industrial and mining enterprises and institutions in explosive places, in order to achieve overall explosion protection.


First, the completion check and inspection points

1. The equipment should have a nameplate indicating the type, level and group of explosion-proof electrical equipment. The explosion-proof certificate number issued by the inspection unit is indicated on the nameplate.

2. Types, grades, groups, environmental conditions and special signs of explosion-proof electrical equipment shall comply with the regulations.

3. The outer casing of explosion-proof electrical equipment should be free of cracks and damage; the paint should be intact, the junction box cover should be fastened, and the fixing bolts and anti-loose devices should be complete.

4. Explosion-proof oil-filled electrical equipment shall not have oil leakage or oil leakage, and its oil level shall meet the requirements.

5. The ventilation and exhaust system of positive pressure type electrical equipment should be smooth, the connection should be correct, and the installation position of the inlet and outlet should meet the requirements.

6. The excess inlet of the electrical equipment shall be sealed as required.

7. The installation of sealing or isolation devices in electrical circuits shall comply with the regulations.

8. The wiring engineering of intrinsically safe electrical equipment shall conform to the design of the line direction and elevation; the line shall be marked with a sky blue sign.

9. Grounding or zeroing of electrical equipment, anti-static grounding, should meet the design requirements, grounding should be firm and reliable.

10. When the completion acceptance is completed, the corresponding documents and materials, technical instructions for the manufacturer's product, test records, certificates of conformity and installation drawings shall be submitted.

11. At the time of acceptance, the following measurement records should also be submitted:

(1) Measurement records of the air gap of the stator and rotor of the increased safety motor.

(2) The adjustment record of the relay protection device for wind pressure and air pressure of positive pressure type electrical equipment, the highest temperature record of the outer casing of the electrical equipment during test operation and the test record of the grounding resistance value of the antistatic grounding.


Second, the trial operation of explosion-proof electrical equipment

1. The temperature of the outer casing of explosion-proof electrical equipment does not exceed the specified value, including the internal temperature of the increased safety and non-sparking equipment.

2. After the internal wiring of the junction box is tightened, the clearance and creepage distance between the exposed live parts and the metal casing shall comply with the regulations.

3. The air outlet of positive pressure type electrical equipment should be blown out without sparks. When the wind pressure and air pressure are reduced, the micro pressure relay should operate reliably.

4. The protection device and interlocking device of explosion-proof electrical equipment should be correct and reliable.


Third, the safety inspection of explosion-proof electrical equipment in operation

The use of explosion-proof electrical equipment and wires should essentially ensure the safe operation of the equipment. Prevent electric sparks, arcs and dangerous temperatures from being caused by improper installation and installation of equipment, defects, and poor maintenance, resulting in fire or explosion accidents.

1. Whether the explosion-proof electrical equipment is based on the division of the hazardous area to ensure the explosion-proof structure of the corresponding explosion-proof electrical equipment.

2. Determine whether the corresponding explosion-proof electrical equipment is determined according to the grade and group of the explosive mixture.

3. Whether the overall explosion-proof performance of explosion-proof electrical equipment meets the design requirements, including instrument alarm and communication equipment.

4. Whether to strictly control the use of mobile electrical appliances and sockets.

Fourth, in the use of electrical lines

1, the laying of the line

(1) Whether to stay away from the release source.

(2) Determine whether the height of the cable or wire is based on the specific gravity of the explosive gas.

(3) Whether the hole of the line is blocked.

(4) Whether the line avoids the damaged area.

2. Technical requirements for line laying

(1) Whether the rated voltage is not lower than 500V.

(2) The current carrying capacity of the wire is not less than 1.25 times the rated current of the fuse.

(3) Whether the galvanized steel pipe is sealed and whether the thread engagement meets the requirements.

(4) Cross section of cable etc. ≥ 2.5mm (copper core area 1)

(5) The junction box 1 area is explosion-proof. Zone 2 is explosion-proof or increased safety. Wires are not allowed to be connected by means of a splicing method.

3. Protection: Single-phase equipment such as lighting in the area, the phase line and the neutral line are all short-circuit protected, and the two-wire switch is used to cut off the power at the same time.

4. Connector: No intermediate connector is allowed in Zone 1. There should be no intermediate joints in Zone 2.

5. Overhead line: The area that it must not cross, the horizontal distance is not less than 1.5 times the height of the tower.

6. Grounding system: equipotential bonding should be used.


V. Management

Leading organizations of industrial and mining enterprises in charge of safety work shall carry out regular professional inspections of electrical explosion-proof safety technology in accordance with the scope of management of each division of labor. In addition to routine maintenance and professional inspection items, the following items should also be checked:

1. Check the equipment operation, laboratory analysis, electrical, instrumentation, communication, equipment maintenance and other relevant personnel in the explosion hazardous area are familiar with the basic knowledge of electrical explosion-proof safety technology;

2. Check whether the procedures and procedures for the operation and maintenance of explosion-proof electrical equipment and lines are complete and implemented;

3. According to the current technical requirements in relevant regulations, specifications and standards, check the problems in the explosion hazardous places;

4. Measures to solve the existing problems, and the leaders who report the safety production of the industrial and mining enterprises are included in the production measures plan, and check the completion of the implementation measures.
