JDI successfully developed a color transparent screen: Is the transparent mobile phone just around the corner?

Just recently, JDI announced the successful development of a new 4-inch color transparent display and has applied for a technology patent. According to JDI official introduction, this new color transparent display eliminates the indispensable color filter and polarizing plate of conventional liquid crystal display, has 80% transmittance, and has a pixel density of 117ppi, which can display 16.77 million colors. .

JDI said it plans to use this screen in the future for car head-up display, commercial window display and education. At the same time, Panasonic and NTT have announced the joint development of small terminal devices based on this new transparent display, and plans to showcase the concept machine at the NTT R&D Forum, which opened on February 16.
