Another company related person pointed out that the optoelectronics industry of GCL Group has just started, managed by GCL Optoelectronics, a subsidiary of GCL Group, and is not included in the assets of listed companies.
According to previous reports from local media in Suzhou, Zhangjiagang LED base plans to invest 2.5 billion US dollars, and plans to introduce 500 epitaxial wafer epitaxy equipment MOCVD machines and chip supporting equipment. The first phase of the project plans to introduce 170 sets of sapphire substrate crystal growth furnaces and 100 sets of epitaxial wafer epitaxy equipment MOCVD machines. The annual sales are expected to reach US$1 billion.
GCL also built sapphire crystal growth furnaces in Suining City and Xuzhou City of Jiangsu Province to produce sapphire single crystal substrates.
