On March 14, 2018, Amphenol Industrial introduced the LPT series of lightweight connectors designed for use in harsh environments. Built upon the MIL-C-26482 I series standard and Amphenol’s original PT series, the LPT connectors feature an aluminum alloy housing that reduces weight while enhancing structural performance. The design incorporates a standard PT coupling nut, ensuring compatibility with existing PT series components.
These connectors are ideal for applications in factory automation, automotive systems, hybrid electric and pure electric vehicles, as well as energy storage solutions. They provide reliable electrical interconnection in areas such as power transmission, industrial instrumentation, and process control.
The LPT series supports wiring cable specifications ranging from 22 AWG (0.34mm²) to 12 AWG (3.5mm²). Each connector is engineered for safe and dependable performance, with a 5-key/key position design that prevents misalignment during mating.
Available in IP67 water-resistant and UL 94 V-0 flame-retardant configurations, the LPT series can withstand over 500 plug-and-pull cycles. It operates effectively within a wide temperature range, from -40°C to +125°C.
The LPT series offers five housing types: box mount, lock nut, straight plug, wall mount, and wiring socket. Additional surface treatments include black zinc, nickel, and grey zinc-nickel finishes. All products comply with RoHS standards.
Optional plating options for the terminal include gold, nickel, or galvanization, with custom configurations available upon request. Whether you need a standard setup or a tailored solution, the LPT series provides flexibility and durability for demanding industrial and automotive applications.
