The main function of 51 single chip microcomputer
The main functions of 51 MCU include:
· 8-bit CPU · 4kbytes program memory (ROM) (52 is 8K)
256 bytes of data memory (RAM) (52 has 384 bytes of RAM)
32 I/O lines and 111 instructions, most of which are single-byte instructions
·21 dedicated registers
· 2 programmable timers/counters · 5 interrupt sources, 2 priority levels (52 with 6)
· A full duplex serial communication port
· External data memory addressing space is 64kB
· External program memory addressing space is 64kB
·Logical operation bit addressing function ·Dual in-line 40PinDIP package
· Single +5V power supply
CPU: consists of arithmetic and control logic, and also includes an interrupt system and some external special function registers;
RAM: used to store data that can be read and written, such as intermediate results of operations, final results, and data to be displayed;
ROM: used to store programs, some raw data and forms;
I/O port: Four 8-bit parallel I/O ports that can be used as both inputs and outputs;
T/C: Two timing/counters, which can work in both the timing mode and the counting mode;
Interrupt control system for five interrupt sources;
A serial I/O port of a full-duplex UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter) for serial communication between microcontrollers or between a microcontroller and a microcomputer;
On-chip oscillator and clock generation circuitry, quartz crystal and trimmer capacitors require an external connection. The highest oscillation frequency is 12M.
