Foreword
A few days ago, I was feeling a bit bored. I had seen a picture of Aunt Zhang's app on someone's mobile phone. She was watching some desktop presentations (I must admit, I got jealous of her cool desktop setup, and I had to make mine look just as sharp). The current desktop wasn't exactly under the sun, but there was a cute rabbit on her screen, which she jokingly referred to as the "debut" of Aunt Zhang.
Reasons to Purchase
Instead of calling this a purchase reason, let me frame it differently: How does one get this rabbit? The rabbit is gifted during the full moon (thanks to the small dumplings here), and I've always been curious about Xiaomi's products but never quite made the leap to buy one. It's not easy to transition from just developing mobile phone systems to creating full-fledged devices. I wonder if this is the right time or if I should focus on something broader.
Appearance Gallery
This random PS-ed image looks like a GIF.
 Pretending to unbox it.
Hey, where did my ears go?
 Stealing the spotlight.
One-second grid change, holding the entire scene live.
Taking off the hat and ugly crying in the toilet.
 The back is truly ecstatic.
The appearance is acceptable for a children's toy rabbit, though the Lei Feng hat might seem a bit odd. Without the hat, it looks a bit plain. Some kids were reportedly scared when they saw the rabbit without its hat, but I'm not sure if that's entirely accurate.
Experience Feelings
Work Experience
The craftsmanship of the rabbit reflects the quality that a manufacturer like Xiaomi should have. The shell feels smooth, and the assembly is tight. There are five buttons on the entire body, with keys that have a moderate level of strength and no noticeable noise after a few months. The hat material is soft and odorless. (Additionally, you can buy other clothes for the rabbit from the Xiaomi mall.) The ear material is silicone, which is not only colorful but also allows children to grind their teeth.

Three Months Experience
Watching children grow up is hard work. With the Xiaomi rabbit, children have something fun to do (currently, our child is only six months old and isn't particularly interested in the rabbit yet, but we're using it for prenatal education by playing music). The first time you use the rabbit, you need to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network. The process is straightforward. Not only can you listen to the built-in 8GB of stories, children's songs, ancient poems, and other resources (officially known as over 800 stories), but you can also access over 10,000 stories online. You can select stories via the Mi Rabbit app on your mobile phone or WeChat. The basic built-in content is more than enough to keep a child entertained, not to mention the online resources, which are regularly updated. In theory, the stories provided by the rabbit should last until the child grows up.
Aside from storytelling, the rabbit can be linked to multiple WeChat accounts. Once connected, pressing the WeChat button in the middle of the rabbit allows you to send voice messages to the linked WeChat contacts. Currently, our child is too young to use this feature, but I can imagine that when he grows older, he'll be able to communicate with his mom through the rabbit. "Mom, when you come back from work, can you buy some good food for the baby..." That would be a great experience, considering how integral WeChat has become to our daily lives.
Mi Rabbit also has a voice assistant-like function. Pressing the button at the bottom of the front allows you to ask questions like "What's the weather like today?" or "How was your day?" Children can chat with the rabbit and learn new things. As everyone knows, children tend to ask a lot of questions, and adults often don't have the time to answer them all. Using the rabbit to chat with the baby seems like a practical solution. Besides asking Siri-like questions, you can also request specific stories or nursery rhymes. For instance, saying "play gourd dolls" to the Mi Rabbit will result in it playing the corresponding children's song.
During a boring afternoon, I decided to test the rabbit. I pressed the voice key and said "play Confession Balloon," and surprisingly, it played the song—but not the Jay Chou version. I was thrilled, and the rabbit became somewhat of my personal streaming device. The sound quality is decent, though some songs couldn't be found. Due to some spoken English tracks, I didn't attempt to play English songs, unsure if they'd work. Most popular songs are available, but some obscure ones returned a message saying, "I'm sorry, I can't find a corresponding story, please try another." Often, this is due to copyright issues. The songs that were found were not necessarily performed by the original artists.
Shortcomings
One notable downside is the placement of the two buttons. They aren't labeled clearly as "previous" or "next." For instance, after playing a gourd doll song, I clicked the left button intending to play it again, but instead, it played another song. I'm not sure if this is intentional or a design flaw. Either way, if you want to replay a specific song, it's not easy unless you remember its name.
Another issue is the lack of proper accessories. Xiaomi only includes the rabbit, a manual, and a random data cable. The charging voltage is 5V at 500mA, which is hard to find these days. The only compatible charger I could find was an old Nokia charger. I'm unsure if using a modern 5V 1A or 5V 2A charger poses any risks.

To Sum Up
At 199 yuan, the price is reasonable. The standby time is long, the sound quality is decent, and the story collection is vast. Whether you're buying it for your own child or as a gift for friends and family, it's a solid choice. If Xiaomi could include a standard charging head, it would be perfect. The regular price is 199 yuan, but during sales events like Double Eleven or 618, you might find discounts.
Overall, the Xiaomi rabbit is a worthwhile investment, especially for families with young children.
