LED industry will benefit

In the third quarter of 2013, relevant policies focused on the field of energy conservation and environmental protection, including the central government's introduction of two documents and the Anhui Province's "Notice on Development Plan for Energy-saving and Environmental Protection Industry," and all three documents clearly proposed the promotion of semiconductor lighting development and proposed specific targets and measures.



The two documents issued by the central government, the “Opinions of the State Council on Accelerating the Development of Energy-saving and Environmental Protection Industries,” and the “Notification on Strengthening the Work to Ensure the Implementation of the 2013 Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Targets and Tasks,” will cultivate leading enterprises, promote green lighting energy-saving key projects, and promote High-efficiency and energy-saving lighting products and so on put forward specific goals and measures. In addition, Anhui Province has also listed semi-conductor lighting industrialization and application engineering as key projects in the “Notice on the Development Planning for Energy-saving and Environmental Protection Industries in Anhui Province”.



In addition, the "Guidelines for Common Key Technologies for Industry Development (2013)" issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) clearly proposes key technologies such as LED chips and phosphors as the key common technologies for the implementation of the innovation drive strategy of the State Council. After Shenzhen repealed the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” of the original LED industry at the beginning of this year, Shenzhen re-introduced a comprehensive promotion of LED in the newly approved “Twelfth Five-Year Plan for Energy Conservation Work in Shenzhen Public Institutions (2013-2015)”. Lighting fixtures have attracted industry attention.
