In terms of design, the A1 laser TV combines metal and wood in a clever fusion. The elegance of mahogany paired with the technical feel of metal creates a harmonious aesthetic. The texture is refined and delicate. The A1 measures 0.77 x 0.36 x 0.1 meters and weighs approximately 21 kilograms. The remote control features a sleek design with a black highlight finish, providing a seamless and soft-touch experience. It also integrates a lithium battery for charging. Additionally, the remote supports voice control, enhancing simplicity in operation. The far-field voice capability ensures minimal spatial constraints for users.
This product also includes a 100-inch light-resistant screen, which helps avoid distortions caused by uneven walls. Special optical structure design minimizes 90% of ambient light interference, ensuring a more natural and vivid picture. With a wide viewing angle of 160 degrees, the projection screen is complete. The throw ratio of the machine is about 0.48, meaning a 100-inch screen can be projected from just 18 cm away from the screen. This ultra-short throw model improves user space utilization. The screen is fixed with brushed metal and looks aesthetically pleasing. To facilitate transportation and storage, the four corners of this anti-light curtain are removable, and it can be easily rolled up.
**Performance Configuration of the Polar Meter A1 Laser TV**
Performance-wise, the 3000 ANSI lumens viewing effect is exceptional.
In terms of picture quality, the first thing to consider when purchasing a projector is viewing brightness. Generally, projectors have limited configurations, and sometimes the lumens are not satisfactory. However, the brightness of the Polar Meter A1 stands out at 3000 ANSI lumens and a viewing brightness of 2565 ANSI lumens. This means that even in a brightly lit room during the day or with lights on, the viewing experience remains unaffected.
The A1 laser TV uses innovative motion compensation technology to process high-frequency motion images on the screen. By estimating the motion on the video screen, missing image frames are calculated and inserted into the original image, improving the video frame rate and making motion pictures smoother and clearer. Jitter-free dynamic effects are achieved.
HDR technology is another user concern. To ensure the image shows richer details and levels in bright or dark scenes, and to enhance screen contrast and color accuracy more realistically, the A1 supports 1024 gray levels. This feature significantly expands the color gamut, reaching an impressive 1.07 billion colors, presenting vivid and lifelike visuals.
In terms of sound quality, the A1 still uses Harman Kardon audio. Two sets of high-pitched speaker units combined with two sets of mid/low speaker units create a symmetrical left-right design for a surround sound effect, making the sound more realistic. The six-bass booster units use paper diaphragm materials and ferrite magnets to avoid distortion. The tweeters adopt silk diaphragms and neodymium iron and boron magnets to truly restore the softness and delicacy of the treble. The midrange is bright and clear, while the bass is thick and powerful. However, during fast-paced audio transitions, there may be a slight loss in sound quality, but the built-in audio is already quite excellent.
On the hardware side, the A1 uses the flagship TV chip MStar 6A938, featuring a powerful A72 architecture, a 1.7GHz quad-core 64-bit CPU, and a high-performance Mali T820MP3 GPU complemented by a global cloud platform supporting H.265 decoding. Additionally, 3GB of memory and 32GB of built-in storage ensure no worries about storage shortages. You can install various applications and save plenty of pictures, music, and other files.
**Brightness, Color, and Image Tests**
**Brightness Test:**
The test took place around 10 a.m., with strong indoor lighting. I took samples with the lights on under strong light, covering the door and window lights and turning off the indoor lights. The results were satisfactory. The color of the projection screen did not fluctuate much under different light intensities, ensuring good image quality.
**Color Test:**
From the photos taken, it’s evident that the color differences are very distinct. The subject colors on the screen are vibrant yet not overly sharp, offering a soft and comfortable viewing experience.
**Quality Test:**
After zooming in on the images, the quality remains high, with virtually no distortion. Colors are restored to their original state to the greatest extent possible, and the transitions between shadows and colors are soft and natural.
**APP Content of the Polar Meter A1 Laser TV**
The A1 offers massive video and audio resources. It has two content sources: Mango TV and Galaxy Kiwifruit. Mango TV provides 300,000 hours of video content, including 100,000 hours of TV dramas like "Everyday Life," "Singer," "Where is Daddy," and "Flower and Teenagers," along with popular variety shows and daily news updates. Galaxy Kiwifruit integrates 500,000 hours of genuine HD content from platforms like CCTV, Jiangsu TV Station, iQiyi, and Movie Network, allowing users to catch up on exciting content anytime. It also offers exclusive or popular variety shows and TV series like "New Chinese Songs," "Extreme Challenge," "River God," and "My First Half." In terms of music, Baidu Music provides over 12 million authentic music libraries for the ultra-thin laser screenless TVs.

Although the device I tested is an engineering model, its performance across all aspects is remarkable. First, in terms of picture quality, with the anti-light curtain, the screen color and image flow are very natural, with almost no difference compared to LCD TVs. In terms of lumens, 2565 lumens is considered the best among home projectors. Whether under strong sunlight or driving lights, it won't affect the viewing results. In terms of contrast, the TV shows better shadow details and can be clearly identified after magnification. The colors appear saturated but not overly bright, showing a natural state.
Additionally, in terms of value-added services, the Mimi A1 allows for replacement and maintenance treatments.
