Intersil recently launched the ITV59885 HDTV video sync separator. The product adds time selection information to both standard and non-standard video signal inputs; this type of information effectively enables the coexistence of multi-format video signals. The ISL59885 supports HDTV and standard format video.
The ISL59885 provides composite sync, horizontal sync, and vertical sync outputs; no external adjustments or resistors are required. The ISL59885 maximizes system flexibility by eliminating the need for peripheral microprocessors and manual configuration. In addition, when the input horizontal frequency is >20KHz, the high definition video signal can be output through the HD pin.
